Disabled Selector

Bipin C Mathew 8 months ago

To select all the disabled elements in the form, by default we use :disabled. JQuery disabled selector selects all the elements that are disabled in the form. The disabled selector attribute is a Boolean attribute where the value "true" indicates that the element is disabled and the value "false" indicates that the element is not disabled. But, however, we can filter the elements by prefixing the component name or type like input:disabledselect:disabled  etc.
Disabled attribute can be used within <input> element. We can write as disabled=”disabled” in the input element. The disabled elements will not be submitted in a form. For instance, consider a line with disabled attribute <input type=”text” name=”fname” disabled= “disabled”>. When we write disabled, it specifies that input field is disabled and can’t do any operation on that element. The disabled selector supported by some of the HTML elements such as button, select, div, option, input and textarea elements.

Checked Selector

Bipin C Mathew 8 months, 1 week ago

The checked selector selects all the elements that are checked. It selects only checked items of checkbox type in the document. It is extremely useful to check whether a checkbox is checked or not with j Query.  It's something common to do. So let's see how to use j Query to determine the status of a checkbox. It matches every checked input elements in the document. The checked selector is only used for radio buttons or check boxes.
When compare to checkbox selector, user can change the state by clicking on the element or selecting different value. The checkbox selector can be used to select the check boxes manually. If we want to select a checkbox to be selected by default then use checked attribute for it. Use checked attribute in the input tag, so that only those check boxes will get selected by default.

Checkbox Selector

Bipin C Mathew 8 months, 1 week ago

Jquery checkbox selector selects all the elements that are of type checkbox. It selects only checked items of checkbox type in the document. It allows user to select one or more number of choices. It is used for instances where user wants to select multiple options such as in the instance of “check all that apply” question. Because:checkbox is a jQuery extension and not part of the CSS specification, queries using:checkbox cannot take advantage of the performance boost provided by the native DOM querySelectorAll() method.

Browser Object Model (BOM)

Bipin C Mathew 8 months, 1 week ago

The Browser Object Model (BOM) is used to interact with the browser. Each HTML page which is loaded into a browser window becomes a Document object and document object is an object in the BOM. You can say BOM is super set of DOM. The BOM allows performing tasks such as opening and closing of browser window, displaying dialog box like alert dialog and prompt dialog, setting up time out for an action to take place after specified amount of time.
We can determine the browser window size for browsers such as internet explorer, Chrome, Firefox, Opera by using two types:window.innerHeight which specifies the inner height of the window andwindow.innerWidth which specifies the inner width of the window.
